Decksmiths originated when Anthony Smith returned from Mauritius after a significant estate management project. He and his brother decided to combine their skills, thus creating a competitively priced timber construction company. Established in 2013, Decksmiths leverages the experience of director Jason Smith, who has been building decks since 2005. Jason’s engineering background and stint in the steel frame housing industry enable him to integrate different elements seamlessly, crafting unique outdoor living spaces.
Our company operates with minimal overheads from a home-based office, allowing us to pass savings directly onto our domestic clients. Our lean but talented team takes on ambitious projects, rivalling the biggest decking companies in Cape Town. A testament to our capability is a triple-storey deck on Braemer Rd, St-James, supported by a Balau substructure and specialized stainless steel bracketry.
We accommodate our small to medium commercial clients by offering labour-only services, with all materials delivered to the site on their account. We build our decks to the highest standards, complying with SABS. Our customers enjoy the protection of our up-to-date liability insurance, with proof available on request.
